This page describes what information The Padel Academy's mobile app and admin
tools collect, why, who it's shared with, and how you can delete your account.
It's written to describe exactly what our systems do — plainly, not in legal
boilerplate.
Information we collect
Account & profile
- Your name, email address, and the password you choose (your password is
handled entirely by our authentication provider, Supabase — our own systems
never see or store it in readable form).
- An optional phone number, if you choose to add one.
- Your group category and skill level, which we use to place you into the
right group training sessions.
- Whether you've trained with the academy before — a single yes/no you tell us
at signup, used to tailor your first-session experience.
Bookings, credits & payments
- Which sessions you book or cancel, and your attendance record.
- Your session-credit balance and purchase history — the packages you've
bought or been granted, and how many credits you have left.
- If you report an InstaPay transfer or a cash payment for a package, we
record the payment method and, if you choose to attach one, a screenshot of
your transfer as proof. That screenshot is stored privately — only you and
academy staff can view it, never the public.
- Card payments are not processed in the app today. All
purchases currently go through the InstaPay/cash reporting flow above,
confirmed manually by academy staff. If online card payment is enabled in the
future, it will run through Paymob, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateway — your
card number is entered directly with Paymob and never reaches our servers; we
would only store the payment amount and Paymob's own reference numbers for
that transaction.
Push notifications
If you allow notifications, we store a device token used only to deliver you
updates — for example, that your session is confirmed or that credits were added
to your account. That token, along with the notification's text, is passed to
Expo's push-delivery service, which relays it to Apple (APNs) or Google (FCM)
depending on your device. We don't send your name, email, or any other account
details through this channel.
Coach information
Coach names, bios, and photos are provided by the academy and shown to every
player in the app. This is business information about our staff, not data we
collect from you.
Why we collect it
- To create and secure your account.
- To place you in group sessions that match your category and level.
- To track your bookings and credit balance so you and the academy both know
what you can book.
- To let you report an out-of-band payment and let academy staff confirm it.
- To send you timely updates about your sessions and credits.
- To keep the basic financial records a training business needs to keep.
Who we share it with
- Supabase — our database, authentication, file storage, and
backend hosting provider. All the information above is hosted on our behalf on
their infrastructure.
- Expo, Apple (APNs), and Google (FCM) — deliver push
notifications. They receive only your device's push token and the
notification's text, described above.
- Paymob — only if and when online card payment is turned on
(it is not active today). When active, it receives your name, a phone number,
and the payment amount to process a transaction — never your email or
password.
- Sentry — if our team enables crash and error monitoring,
technical diagnostic reports (such as what caused an app crash) are sent there
to help us fix bugs. We don't deliberately include your personal details in
these reports.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep your booking, credit, and purchase records for as long as your account
is active, and afterward for as long as needed for the academy's financial
recordkeeping. A payment-proof screenshot is kept for as long as it's relevant to
the request it was attached to.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the app. See our
Account Deletion page for exactly what happens
and how, including a manual option if you've uninstalled the app or can't sign
in.
Your choices
- Notifications are optional — you can decline them and still use every other
part of the app.
- A phone number is optional at signup.
- Attaching a payment screenshot is optional for cash payments (and helps
confirmation go faster for InstaPay).
Changes to this policy
